Tsugaike
Whipped over on cold Siberia winds, Tsugaike is one of the first mountains to receive the snow laden clouds coming off the Sea of Japan, giving it some of the best snow in the valley.
The lower sections of the mountain are wide open and flat, perfect for beginners. Rising up the mountain in the fast gondola and chair lifts, you can access the Snow park and the more difficult runs at the very top, although most routes are more suited to intermediates and beginners.
There are a wide variety of places to eat and drink, both on the mountain and at the bottom of the hill. Be on the watch out for KFC's beckoning Colonel Sanders on the gondola, a site to really challenge the senses when on a fast descent.
