Happo One
This well established winter mountain resort is best suited for advanced and intermediates. Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2009, Happo One is located within walking distance to Double Black hotel's front door.
Wide open pistes are a staple for Happo One, intersected with vast ungroomed sections, making it a breeze to drift effortlessly off into the deep stuff. Site of the 1998 Olympics Men's Downhill and Super G, you can take the ultimate challenge by going right to the top and the start of the Down Hill course. Be warned, you'll need thighs of steel to make it the 8kms to the bottom in one go.
Runs are well serviced with numerous chair lifts across the mountain, and a Gondola to whisk you up the mountain quickly and effortlessly.
For those who can't get enough of the white stuff, Happo One also has the added bonus of night skiing on the lower slopes. And for those who need a quick break, restaurants and eateries abound on the piste and at the bottom of the main run.
