Hakuba 47
Established in 1990, Hakuba 47 is a relatively new addition to the area. While it has only 8 official runs, with its own Half Pipe and Snow park, what it lacks in quantity, it more than makes up for in quality. This is one of the most stunning and entertaining mountains in Hakuba.
Most runs are surrounded by trees, giving you a secluded and magical feel, before breaking into clearings which command awe inspiring views across the valley and of the other resorts. Hakuba 47 also has the bonus of being a north facing slope, meaning the snow here holds up more favourably than those with southerly aspects.
At the bottom of the hill there are plenty of other activities to distract you from what the mountain has to offer, including snow mobiling, an outdoor BBQ, mini Steam Locomotive and ice fishing.
This is truly one of Hakuba's best kept secrets!
